PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND COORDINATION
Clear Communication
Independent professionals maintain timely, accurate documentation for accepted assignments, provide appropriate nursing handoffs, and communicate material updates to authorized individuals. All communication should comply with professional scope, client authorizations, applicable law, and the terms of the accepted engagement.
Independent Professional Responsibility
Each independent professional remains responsible for their own clinical judgment, licensure, competency, documentation, conduct, and compliance with professional standards. Contractors provide services within their legal scope of practice and follow applicable provider orders and agreed-upon care plans.
PCC values respectful communication, confidentiality, discretion, and appropriate coordination among independent professionals, clients, authorized family members, and healthcare providers. Each contractor operates independently while supporting an organized and consistent client experience.

PCC may offer independent professionals:

Assignment availability is not guaranteed. Independent professionals may provide services to other organizations or clients, subject to applicable confidentiality requirements and the terms of any accepted agreement.
Independent Contractor Relationship
Professionals contracting with PCC are self-employed independent contractors and are not PCC employees. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licenses, certifications, business requirements, and other obligations associated with independent practice.
Contractors determine their availability and may accept or decline individual assignment opportunities. A contractor relationship begins only after both parties execute a written Independent Contractor Agreement.

PROFESSIONAL INTEREST AND ONBOARDING PROCESS
1. Submit Your Professional Interest
Complete the secure interest form with your contact information, résumé or CV, credentials, professional experience, service area, and general availability.
2. Introductory Conversation
Selected professionals may be invited to discuss their clinical background, independent practice experience, areas of competency, availability, and interest in private-duty assignments.
3. Credential and Compliance Review
Before assignment consideration, PCC may verify applicable licenses, certifications, references, professional work history, insurance coverage, business credentials, and required background screenings.
4. Independent Contractor Agreement
Professionals approved for PCC’s independent contractor network will review and execute a written Independent Contractor Agreement before receiving assignment opportunities.
5. Assignment Opportunities
When client needs arise, PCC may present qualified contractors with potential assignments based on clinical experience, competency, service area, availability, and client needs. Contractors may independently decide whether to accept or decline each opportunity.

Participation will be optional and separate from consideration for PCC contractor opportunities or client assignments.
